Why Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship?

Who is Eligible?
- Candidates from qualified countries may submit applications.
- Also, candidates seeking a bachelor’s degree must have a secondary school graduation certificate.
- Candidates must have a good academic record.
- Candidates applying for a master’s degree must have a bachelor’s degree.
- Applicants seeking doctorate degrees must have a master’s degree.
- Candidates applying for a one-tier or non-degree program must provide a certificate of student status provided by their sending/home university.
- Candidates must be nominated by the sending partner country’s competent authorities.
Financial Benefits of Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship
1. For Bachelor’s, Master’s and One-tier Master’s Programme
- There are no tuition costs.
- Monthly stipend.
- Free dormitory housing or an accomodation allowance.
- Medical insurance.
2. For Phd Degree Program
- No tuition fee.
- Monthly stipend of HUF 140,000 (approximately EUR 350) for the initial phase spanning 4 semesters.
- A monthly stipend of HUF 180,000 (approximately EUR 450) will be provided throughout the second phase, spanning four semesters, until the completion of studies.
- Free dormitory residence or an accommodation allowance of HUF 40,000 per month will be provided for the entire duration of the program.
- Medical insurance will also be included.
