CICOPS Scholarships Program in Italy 2026 is offered by the University of Pavia and EDISU to enhance international collaboration with developing nations. This fully funded research program will host at the University of Pavia for a duration of 4 to 12 weeks. Scholars require to submit their research proposals, which will assess by CICOPS. If the research project is congruent with a research activity conducted at the host university, CICOPS will relay the research proposal to the pertinent department. The University of Pavia scholarship in Italy is available across various departments including Chemistry, Physics, Civil Engineering and Architecture, Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, Drug Sciences, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Biology and Biotechnology, Brain and Behavioral Sciences, Internal Medicine and Therapeutics, Molecular Medicine, Public Health, Neuroscience, Experimental and Forensic Medicine, Clinical-Surgical, Diagnostic and Pediatric Sciences, Law, Economics and Management, Cultural Heritage, Political and Social Sciences, and Humanities. Throughout this fully funded scholarship in Italy for international researchers, the hosting Department will grant access to diverse facilities for study and research activities, including libraries, computer facilities, and so forth.

Upon receiving a declaration of acceptance from the scholars, the University of Pavia will offer visa assistance, arrange a return flight ticket, provide health insurance policy and personal accident coverage, coordinate accommodation, supply a meal card for the purpose of obtaining free meals at University canteens, and remit the contribution amount to the participants. Following the completion of this short-term research scholarship program in Pavia, scholars will require to prepare a report on the work they have accomplished at the host Department and submit copies of any articles or publications produced. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must possess a minimum of two years of teaching experience or engagement with international organizations and institutions.
Scholarships are available to both junior and senior members of Universities in Developing Countries who interested in the field of development studies.
Applicants who are presently enrolled in a Doctoral or Postgraduate Course at an Italian University are ineligible to apply for this scholarship.
Also, successful applicants must confirm their acceptance of the scholarship within 20 days of receiving the notification of selection.

How to apply for CICOPS Scholarships 2026?

Complete the online application form after receiving a letter of invitation from your contact faculty member at the University of Pavia.
Also, applicants who are unable to obtain a letter of invitation from a professor should reach out to CICOPS and they will provide a research proposal form, which must fill out and sent back to cicops@unipv. it.
Similarly, the CICOPS team will evaluate your research proposal and should your research be compatible with ongoing initiatives at the university, they will submit your proposal to the appropriate department and establish a connection with them.
