Applications are invited for KUT Special Scholarship program in 2025-2026 in Japn. This fully sponsored scholarship invites special students from different regions around the world to contribute to research programs. In Kochi University Exchange, students will be educated in the support environment. They will be exempted from costs for 3 years and will also receive allowances for travel and living expenses. Additionally, KUT scholarship programs for PhD students are a three -year research program and in this program, students will gain valuable knowledge and skills to become a qualified researcher. Kut in the Japanese Kut Stock Exchange is provided in different research areas including mechanical and aerospace engineering, electronic and optical engineering, architectural design and infrastructure, science and technology, IT, data and innovation, economics and management. In each semester of scholarships in Japan, students will send their research plans and research reports.

Furthermore, PhD students of the first and second year will receive a research course in English and they will also get Japanese courses for daily communication. In addition, International students will receive advice from the supervisor to be associated with their study and research. Students will have the opportunity to attend different Japanese cultural activities and programs. Before completing the diploma, students must publish research articles in the main magazines with a reading committee that will add value to their research experience. Eligible Criteria

Candidates should come from East Asia, Southeast / South Asia, Middle East, Europe, North America, Africa and others.

Candidates must have the permission of their favorite supervisors to register this program.
Also, candidates should have a master’s degree or equivalent diploma after 18 years of education.
Students must be 35 years old or less at this age when applying.

Benefits of Kut Special Scholarship Program 2026

Researchers will be exempted from 15,000 entry inspection fees, 300,000 registered fees in Dong Yen and 535,800 yen per year from school fees for three years.
Students will receive 150,000 yen per month for three years to cover living expenses.
International students will get 150,000 yen for travel expenses and initial living expenses.
Students can get accommodation in the campus in Kut or dormitory on the Eikokuji campus.

Candidates must complete and send an online application request form.
